BOWLING FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES
On June 26, 2008, members of VAP had a great time bowling while making a difference in the life of a child at the same time. The event took place at the Bellair Plaza Bowling Lanes and was organized by the Young Lawyers Association of Volusia County to collect school supplies for children of low income families whose parents may not otherwise have the funds to afford the school supplies for their children. A grand time was had by all, and we want to thank the Volusia County Bar Association for allowing us to participate.

LAW DAY AT ATLANTIC HIGH SCHOOL:  Once again, VAP was privileged to award scholarships to Atlantic High School Students in the Law and Government Academy as its contribution to Law Day. Three students were each awarded a cash scholarship together with over $100 in gift certificates donated by local restaurants. Members and friends who supported this project are greatly appreciated, and our sincere thanks goes out to the following restaurants that participated with donations:
MARIA BONITA,  CARRABBA'S ITALIAN GRILL,  THE DOWNWIND CAFE,  BOB EVANS,  STEVE'S FAMOUS DINER,  LONG DOGGERS,  BOOTH'S BOWERY, OLIVE GARDEN,  FRESH,  CANCUN LAGOON,  PORT ORANGE STEAKHOUSE, PANERA BREAD,  APPLEBEES,  and CICI'S PIZZA.
